W.R. Grace Sale of Asbestos Tainted Property
Dallas, Texas (MesotheliomaCancerNews.Com) — Witnesses reveal the company knowingly sold land tainted with asbestos.
A witness disclosed at the trial of W.R. Grace & Company that the company sold land tainted with asbestos. As reported by Bloomberg.com, the witness Lerah Parker, is quoted as stating after learning of the health risks to a friend, “I said, ‘I want you to tell me honestly as my friend: In selling us the property, did you know — did you know this was going to happen to us?’ And Alan just looked at me, put his cup of coffee down, and he left. And I knew he’d been lying to us all this time.”
Both Parker and her husband have lung diseases caused by asbestos exposure. Employees from the Maryland based W.R. Grace have been charged in connection to the alleged contamination of thousands of individuals over decades.
