Conference Aims to Increase Awareness About Asbestos Illness
An annual conference seeks to raise awareness about asbestos disease.
MesotheliomaCancerNews.com — Organizers of a unique conference are seeking to help increase public awareness about asbestos-related disease. As reported by DailyBreeze.com, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) is hosting its annual conference on Saturday, to educate more of the population about the little-known condition. Victims of the disease and their families from five countries will reportedly be in attendance of the event.
Co-founder of the ADAO, Linda Reinstein, whose husband Alan Reinstein passed away three years ago after battling an asbestos-related disease, is quoted in the report as stating of the efforts, “I promised Alan, for his wishes, to keep it going.” Reinstein is further quoted as stating in regards to support for the event, “I must have 25 friends from Manhattan Beach coming to honor Alan’s memory and help run the conference.”
The conference is in its fifth year.
