As reported by CBC News, the mail delivery system in Glace Bay was stalled due to the finding of mold and asbestos. The discovery led to the temporary closing of the Glace Bay post office, leaving many unable to retrieve their mail.

As noted in the report, Gordon McDonald with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers stated that environmental testing has been requested, and that a meeting is set to take place between the union and management for the safety of workers.
