Designer Dies from Asbestos Exposure
A designer reportedly passed away due to the development of a fatal illness after years of contact with asbestos.
Mesothelioma Cancer News (UK) – An investigation into the death of a designer reportedly revealed that he was exposed to asbestos during his career. As reported by Eastbourne Today, Anthony John Coffey is said to have been exposed to the toxic fiber, which led to his developing the asbestos-related disease mesothelioma.
Olivia Coffey, who was married to the 62 year-old designer for over 30 years before separating from him in 2007, is quoted in the report as stating of the last time she saw him, “He was very frail and his cough had become worse.”
Dr Hassan El Teraifi, is further quoted in the report as stating of Coffey’s condition, “It is well known that mesothelioma is almost always caused by asbestos bodies… He could have been in contact with asbestos 10, 20 or even 30 years ago.”
