A new plan may force homeowners in Australia to declare asbestos when listing their homes for sale.
Mesothelioma Cancer News – A new plan expected to be introduced to State Parliament in Australia may aid in the focus of assisting victims of asbestos contamination with getting compensation. As reported by the Sunday Mail, Upper House independent MP John Darley is expected to introduce the plan as pressure mounts for action to be taken on behalf of asbestos victims.
As noted in the report several officials spoke this week at a rally about the ongoing threat of asbestos. Darley is quoted by the Sunday Mail as stating of the plan’s provision to ensure that each home listed for sale comes with a certificate noting the presence of asbestos, “It is a simple thing to do.”
