The Fulton High School has been evacuated due to asbestos concerns.
Mesothelioma Cancer News (Fulton, Illinois) – The Fulton High School in Fulton, Illinois has been evacuated due to asbestos concerns. As reported by the Quad-City Times homecoming activities have been cancelled as well due to a floor tile containing asbestos being improperly removed.
As noted in the report, the cancellation of the game was due to the possible contamination of the locker room, which is located in the same building as the removed tile. Other homecoming festivities are expected to proceed as scheduled including the parade held Saturday. However, the school dance will reportedly be held at the River Bend Middle School.
As further noted by the Times, an inspection for the possible contamination is scheduled for Wednesday.
