New York (Mesothelioma Cancer News) – Closing arguments were heard this week in a case involving an asbestos cleanup company accused of scamming ten of thousands of dollars after the terrorists attacks on the World Trade Center September 11, 2001. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), two Port Authority workers, Anthony Fontanetta and Mark Jakubek, stand accused of allowing Specialty Service Contracting Inc. to over bill for their asbestos cleanup services in exchange for bribes that included sports tickets and free vacation home use.
As noted by the AP, if convicted of the charges against them, the two may receive a prison term of up to 25 years.
