As reported by WINK News, dozens of individuals in the area fear asbestos exposure following the finding of the toxic mineral during work on the Summerlin Road project.
Resident Michele DePalma is quoted in the report as stating of her fears, “I’m not supposed to be afraid in my own home… I’m scared. I want to know what’s going to be done about it.”
DePalma is reportedly planning to host a meeting for area residents regarding the concerns. She is further quoted in the report as stating, “We deserve to know what’s happening in our community. Are we going to be sick?”
