School building asbestos found

Bethlehem, Pennsylvania (Mesothelioma Cancer News) – Asbestos has reportedly been found in several school buildings in Bethlehem. As reported by WFMZ-TV News, Bethlehem Area Vocational Technical School officials have stated that asbestos was recently found in additional buildings after an initial finding in a house where construction lessons were being taught.
Executive Director Brian Williams is quoted in the report as stating of the issue, “There is asbestos in all buildings of this age… So our three major buildings contain asbestos in various locations.”
Williams is further quoted as stating of the school becoming EPA compliant following assessments in an independent report regarding previous asbestos findings, “This is going to be our bible as far as the future of managing the future in all of our buildings.”
Some asbestos has reportedly already been removed, with more work expected for the summer.
