Mesothelioma, a deadly cancer of the lining of body organs, is shown to be directly related to asbestos exposure. Regardless of the numerous deaths around the world and solid proof of asbestos’ hazardous nature, Quebec Premier Jean Charest is considering loaning Canada’s asbestos mines $58 million. Many feel he should instead be fighting to ban the industry.
