Florida Governor Rick Scott Signs Welfare Drug-Screening Bill

I couldn’t be more proud of this legislation! This needed to be done a long time ago. I totally disagree with Rep. Corrine Brown, who believes it’s an invasion of privacy. I’m sorry, but you have to take a drug test to get a job, so why wouldn’t you take one to get government assistance? If they have money for drugs, they have money for everything else and don’t need welfare. Once you become society’s burden, you absolutely should give up your privacy regarding your drug use.
