Mesothelioma Scholarship

Thousands of individuals are diagnosed with mesothelioma lung cancer each year. The disease, caused by exposure to asbestos, has led to the deaths of many who’ve been exposed to toxic asbestos fibers in places of employment, in their own homes, and other places often years before becoming aware of their circumstances. There is currently no cure for mesothelioma, but treatment options are available to help alleviate some of its symptoms.

Some foundations and other entities have established funds for research or scholarships related to advancing treats for mesothelioma or finding a cure. One of the most prominent scholarships available pertaining to the matter is the Mesothelioma Memorial Scholarship.

The Mesothelioma Memorial Scholarship was established in 2003, in honor of the numerous people whose lives have been lost to the disease. The scholarships are also provided in honor of the thousands of people who are diagnosed with mesothelioma every year. The providers of the scholarships have set up a website to aid them in informing and educating individuals about the disease and possible prevention.

The Mesothelioma Memorial Scholarship is available for high school students seeking to pursue any field of study.
